1. Who we are

This website is run by EngageTalent Consultancy ("EngageTalent", "we", "us"), an HR, talent and workplace wellbeing consultancy based in London, led by Maria Holloway. We are the controller of the personal information described in this policy.

2. What we collect

  • Business enquiries — your name, email, phone number, company, position and anything you write in your message.
  • Collective applications — your name, contact details, area of expertise, experience level, availability, location, LinkedIn profile and anything you tell us about yourself.
  • Technical information — our hosting provider processes standard technical data such as IP address and browser type to deliver the website securely and protect it from abuse. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.

3. How we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry and provide our services (legitimate interests / steps before entering a contract).
  • To review your application to join the Collective and contact you about relevant freelance or project opportunities (your consent, which you can withdraw at any time).
  • To keep the website secure and working properly (legitimate interests).

We never sell your information.

4. Where it's stored and who we share it with

The website and its forms are hosted on Cloudflare, and form submissions are stored in a Cloudflare database located in Western Europe. Cloudflare acts as our processor under a data processing agreement. We use Google Workspace / Gmail to correspond with you. Where providers process data outside the UK, appropriate safeguards (such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or adequacy regulations) are in place.

If you join the Collective and a project comes up, we may share relevant parts of your professional profile with the client you would be working with — we'll always discuss this with you first.

5. How long we keep it

Business enquiries are kept for up to two years after our last contact. Collective profiles are kept while you're part of the network; we'll check in with you at least every two years and remove your details if you ask, or if we no longer hear from you.

6. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your information, object to how we use it, ask for a copy to take elsewhere, and withdraw consent at any time. To do any of these, contact us through the contact form. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

7. Children

This website isn't intended for anyone under 16 and we don't knowingly collect their information.

8. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
